Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

A standout during his 2-decades plus of NHL service, Brendan Shanahan currently sits second behind Luc Robitaille on the list for most career goals by a left-winger. This St. Louis Blues alternate captain’s jersey was worn by the HOFer in 1993-94. A CCM label with handwritten “19” along with a size “54” fly tag are in place along the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the familiar blue note team crest in vinyl and twill, the solid blue v-neck has been accented with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers, along with the alternate’s “A”. The team patch from Custom Crafted has been screened onto the inside hem, and it divulges this garment as being a “2nd Set” example. Hailing from Shanahan’s only 100+ point season, an LOA from the Blues organization will accompany, along with a second document.
Game-wear on the important sweater is abundant, with a number of marks littering the lower front band and sleeves. A large board burn is also present over the left shoulder, with additional stick marks over the numbers on the left and right sleeve.
