Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Designed to benefit the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, we have a pair of signed Jordan Eberle items including a game-used stick that was won in the 2014 Locker Room Online Charity Auction, and a game-used and photo-matched helmet won in the 2015 Hockey Talks Mental Awareness Online Charity Auction. The stick is a Bauer Vapor model, with “Eberle” factory graphics and the original tape on the blade and handle. Nice use is exhibited, with wear to the bottom of the blade along with abrasions to the shaft. The helmet is also a Bauer model with all strapping intact along with the visor, while Oilers decals grace each side, with “14” along the reverse bottom. Both items have been signed by Eberle, and each has a hologram affixed from the Edmonton Oilers. LOAs will accompany both pieces.
The signature on the stick appears on the front side of the heel in silver marker, with the Oilers hologram numbered “9552” on the upper shaft. The helmet exhibits nice use, with scratches and wear present. Eberle has signed along the top portion again in silver, and the signature displays well, with just slight loss. The Oilers hologram has been placed on the back left bottom opposite the NHL shield decal, and it’s numbered “10421”. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches for the helmet, Getty image 461410075 from Dec 28th 2013, Getty image 465263693 from Jan 24th 2014 and Getty image 482423079 from March 22nd 2014 have all been matched to the small scratch below the "R" of "Bauer" on the front of the helmet, and to the black mark on that same "R", while Getty image 459774023 from Nov 25th 2013 has been matched to just the small scratch below the "R" of "Bauer" on the front of the helmet.
