The stars of the WHA faced off against Russia’s elite in 1974, with the Summit Series of 1972 fresh in the minds of most. Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull led the Canadians against the powerful Soviets anchored by Tretiak and Kharlamov. These two programs hail from the event, and they’re accompanied by two Game 4 ticket stubs, which ended in a 5-5 draw. The programs include the generic version good for all four Canadian games, along with an example for Game 4 in Vancouver. The generic example is roughly 9 ¾” x 9 ¾”, while the Game 4 program is 8 ¼” x 11”, with both in very good condition exhibiting just regular handling wear but not abuse. The ticket stubs are each approx. 2” x 4 ½”, and they exhibit expected flaws including some surface/corner wear and marks. The Game 4 program has a few cover creases, with a bent upper right corner along with additional creasing to the reverse near the spine. The generic program exhibits just some spine wear along with light toning to the edges of the interior pages.
