Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

Altering the line-up for the second match after the devastating loss in Game 1, a number of Team Canada players were scratched for Game 2 of the 1972 Canada-Russia Series played on Sept 4th at Maple Leaf Gardens, including Ken Dryden, Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert. Providing a much stronger effort than in Game 1, the mighty maple leaf was victorious, with the Canadians taking the second match, 4-1. We offer an original 1972 Canada-Russia Series ticket stub produced for Game 2 in Toronto with original mailing envelope, rare Hockey Canada ticket advertising card and official series program. At 1 ¾” x 4 ½”, the ticket lists the game, date, venue and seat, along with the $7.00 cover price, with advertising on the reverse from CCM. Sporting a fairly clean front and reverse with just a faint stain and no creasing, the ticket displays wonderfully. The mailing envelope and advertising card show light wear, while the program exhibits a few marks to the cover, with the interior showing no issues.
