Drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft from the Montreal Canadiens, Bob Courcy never dressed for the Flyers, and spent his career in both the AHL and WHL. Dressing for the WHL's San Diego Gulls for four seasons at the conclusion of his career, this Gulls jersey was worn by the Granby native during the early-1970s, circa 1970-71. Crosthwaite labeling is affixed to the collar along with a frayed size tag, with the tie-neck durene jersey measuring-out to a size 50. Featuring "Gulls" arching across the chest in layered tackle twill, "9" is sewn to the front, sleeves and verso in matching material, with the tie-string now gone. There doesn't appear to have ever been a fight strap attached to the jersey. Sporting moderate wear with burns and paint transfer to the upper right sleeve, there are also a few marks to the team crest, with a material run/slit to the left sleeve.
