Captured through the lens of legendary photographer Denis Brodeur, Maurice Richard, proudly wearing the garb of Les Canadiens, is pictured in this lot featuring a Denis Brodeur original photo getting reacquainted with Lord Stanley’s coveted hockey prize. Measuring 8” x 10” and embossed with “Denis Brodeur” in the bottom left corner, the image shows light handling wear at the edges and corners as well as a couple of creases at Maurice’s right shoulder and right side. Additionally, adding to an already lovely piece, both “The Rocket” and Brodeur have signed the photograph with gold ink signatures that display without issue. Hailing from the collection of Lorne Goldenberg, his signed LOA will accompany the piece.
Lorne Goldenberg has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Windsor Spitfires, and the Ottawa 67s. He lectures internationally on a variety of topics, including stability ball exercises and ground-based sport conditioning, for groups such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Society of Weight Training Injury Specialists, provincial associations, and professional teams. He has written for the NSCA Journal of Strength and Conditioning, Ironman, Physical, Men’s Journal, Hockey Life, and Hockey Now.
