Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The greatest basketball player of all-time and quite possibly one of the greatest overall athletes of all-time, Michael Jordan would play 15 seasons in the NBA, winning 6 championships with the Chicago Bulls and 5 NBA MVP Awards. Offered here, we have a collection of items from MJ’s final career game. Two tickets from the game headline the group, suite level examples from the April 16th, 2003 contest that saw Jordan put up 15 points in a 107-87 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Graded by PSA, the tickets have been deemed worthy of GOOD 2 designations. Displaying game, seat, and the barcode stub still affixed at the bottom of each full ticket, both show wear in the form of creasing through the middle of each as well as light edge and corner wear. Having been freshly slabbed, the holders remain in perfect condition. Also included in the collection are three programs from the send-off contest and a final game commemorative poster. The programs show light wear to the covers, with edge and corner wear also present and a tear seen on one. All three remain clean on the interior and have the lineup sheets still inserted. The cardstock commemorative poster, measuring 18” x 6”, shows an image of a Jordan 4 sneaker and thanks Michael for the memories. Exhibiting a heavy crease through the middle, other creases of a lighter variation are also observed as well as surface, edge and corner wear.
