An Atlanta Thrashers draft choice in 2009, Evander Kane has skated for four different clubs, and won a gold medal with Team Canada at the World Juniors. This stick was used by Kane during one of the last home games of his rookie season in 2009-10, specifically on April 10, 2010 vs Pittsburgh. A Bauer Supreme model with “Kane 9” factory graphics, there is a bar code and serial number on the underside of the shaft, with the lower portion of the stick blackened-out. The white tape on the handle with handwritten “9” is intact, while the blade tape has been removed to facilitate the gold paint pen signature that was placed on the front side and appears heavily faded. A few Getty Images show Kane using what appears to be a matching stick during the April 10th contest, but none offer high enough resolution to call a definitive photo-match. The stick itself shows just very light game-use as expected for a single-game specimen, with an NHL Alumni COA to accompany.
