Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

With matches taking place in Stockholm and Södertälje, the 1989 IIHF World Championships featured eight nations, with the Soviet Union capturing their 21st title and Canada serving as runner-up. Originating from the personal collection of Alan Eagleson, we have a Team Canada jersey from the tournament that was issued for Paul Reinhart’s use, but he never joined the team for the tournament. Sporting Tackla and “XXL” labeling along the collar, the mesh jersey measures-out to roughly a size 58. All identifiers including the team crest and numbers have been sublimated, along with “Reinhart” across the sewn nameplate. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in fabulous condition, with a few minor stains on the reverse.
