Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Changing the format from the previous season, the 2016 NHL All-Star Game was actually a three-on-three single-elimination tournament, with four different teams, with each NHL division represented. The Metropolitan Division would feature netminders Braden Holtby and Cory Schneider, and being played in Nashville, Schneider outfitted himself with the offered signed and photo-matched goal pads, custom made and designed to honour Nashville’s music and country roots. Vaughn V4 models in solid white with red and black accents, “Schneider” has been embroidered on each, with the pads featuring crossed black leather guitars affixed with blonde necks, with each bending inward over the bottom half. Schneider has signed the right pad over the front in black marker, adding his number, with the signature displaying beautifully against the white background.
Production codes have been handwritten under the inside flap of each pad, with light but definite use exhibited, with a few dark marks present over the front and inner upper section of the left pad. Getty Image #507784226 from Jan 30th (NHL All-Star Skill Competition) has been matched to the big black mark on the upper body of the guitar on the left pad, while Getty Image #509523994 from Jan 31st (NHL All-Star Game) has been matched to the big black mark above the guitar on the left pad.
