Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
OHL royalty with superstars Ted Lindsay, Alex Delvecchio and Bobby Orr all serving, the Oshawa Generals are one of the most successful junior clubs in history, with multiple league titles and five Memorial Cup championships dating back to 1939. We have a Generals jersey that was worn by Tom Newton in 1974-75, with photography from "A History of the Oshawa Generals” published in 1978 verifying this style was worn that particular season. A mostly detached Wilson label with “48” sizing is affixed to the collar, with the vintage durene sweater sporting an attractive blue, white and red team crest with embroidered detailing. “15” appears over the verso in layered tackle twill, with the sleeves void of any numbering. An LOA will accompany.
Fabric pulls are present over the front, reverse and sleeves, with a few dark marks over the upper right sleeve. The collar is also torn over the front, with a bit of the blue layering over the reverse numbers loose. A few team repairs are also visible over the upper front and sleeves.
