Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Featuring a pair of netminders, we have a signed blocker and glove combo worn by Ben Scrivens during his time with the Edmonton Oilers, in 2014-15, along with a blocker donned by Andrew Raycroft while tending the net of the Boston Bruins, in the early-2000s. The Scrivens set are custom made Vaughn models in Oilers' colours with solid white bodies and orange and blue accents, with “The Professor” embroidered on the trapper and “The Professor Practice” on the glove, with each hand-initialed “K” from Kay Whitmore, showing the pair have the approval of the NHL. Both show great game-use, with numerous marks littering the pocket of the glove and the face and side of the blocker. There is also some orange paint transfer visible on the blocker. Ben has signed each in blue marker, and the signatures display well. A printed 8” x 10” photo of Scrivens will be included. The Raycroft CCM blocker hails from circa 2002-03, with “Raycroft” embroidered, and numerous puck marks over the white section of the face, with additional wear to the palm and fingers. Holograms are affixed to the Scrivens combo, with a matching LOA from the Oilers to accompany.
