Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Ranked by Stan Fischler as one of the ten greatest coaches in the history of the NHL, Tommy Ivan first guided the Detroit Red Wings to three Stanley Cups in just five years in the early-1950s, later leading the Black Hawks to their epic 1961 championship. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1974 as a Builder, Ivan passed away in 1999 at the age of 88. We have a puck signed by the Toronto native. A Trench model Black Hawks example in flawless condition, Ivan has signed within the left side of the team logo in blue ballpoint, with the small signature displaying nicely. A sticker from JSA numbered “H09878” has been affixed to the reverse, with a matching Basic Certification to accompany.
