Known for his clutch play when most needed, Grant Fuhr should also be remembered for his longevity, playing in over twenty seasons for six different clubs. This lot contains a pair of game-used pads from Fuhr’s time in St. Louis, and they’ve been photo-matched. White leather and nylon Vic “The Wall” pads with additional “Fuhr Wall” graphics on back. The pads show great game use with countless puck and stick marks, and they can be photo-matched to a December 2nd 1997 game (Getty Images) in New Jersey, a 3-1 Blues win and one of Grant’s 403 career victories.
The pads can also be matched to an additional three photos that are included, with two of them signed. We should also add that one strap on the right pad has been replaced. Used by a Hall-of-Famer and five-time Stanley Cup champion, they offer a terrific opportunity for any Fuhr, goaltender or Hall of Fame collector.
