When the NHL held a preseason game between the NY Rangers and Florida Panthers in Puerto Rico in 2006, it became the only place south of Florida in the Americas to ever host an NHL game. This Florida Panthers jersey was game-worn by Alex Auld in that very contest. With “Goalie Style” and size 60 tagging in the collar as well as handwritten “35”, an NHL crest sits affixed to the back bottom hem. There is also a team patch on the inside hem that states this garment is a “2006-2007 Set #1” jersey. Game-wear includes a few black marks above and below the team crest as well as additional black marks below and around the numbers on both sleeves. Fashioned in full tackle twill, this garment has matching palm tree/hockey stick patches over both shoulders as well as a Puerto Rico flag patch over the right breast. The MeiGray patch on the inner bottom hem has number D04021, and according to their population report it is a “White w/ Puerto Rico Inaugural Game Patch - 9/23/06, set”.
