Centering both Vladimir Krutov and Sergei Makarov on the famous KLM line, Igor Larionov is one of only four players ever to win Olympic Gold, a World Championship, a Canada/World Cup, a World Junior Championship and a Stanley Cup. This Russian National Team CCCP jersey was game-worn by Larionov circa 1988-89. Images from an October 1989 program for a two game exhibition series between the Czechs and CCCP shows images of Russian National team players wearing this type of jersey (images would be from earlier and most likely from the 1988-89 season) and according to research they changed to a different style of jersey for the 1989-90 season. With "Kisapukuoy" and size "L 54-56" tagging in the collar, there’s also an additional “Made in Finland” tag. With screened-on name on nameplate (in English) as well as screened-on numbers and CCCP logo, the jersey is mesh with durene sleeve stripes and lower band. Lighter but noticeable game-wear includes a few black marks on the lower section of the left sleeve. An added bonus is the black marker signature that Igor has placed just above the CCCP logo, which has bled slightly into the fabric over time.
