The late Bob Probert was the last guy you wanted taking down your number on the ice. Probert’s 1997-98 Chicago Black Hawks game-worn No. 24 jersey has NHL Center Ice tagging in the back of the neck along with a flag tag with size “56” handwritten on it in black marker, but the Nike tag is no longer present. “98” and “5” are handwritten in black marker inside the rear hem on the back of the embroidered NHL crest. The back collar seam is partially torn and more game wear shows in black marks on the front tail and both sleeves. Probert’s game-used stick is also included. Comes with a Black Hawks LOA and a MeiGray certificate of registration for the jersey.
Black Hawks GM Bob Murray signed the jersey LOA. There are visible thread remnants on three corners were the Nike tagging used to be in the back of the neck. There are stretched and broken threads near the partially torn back collar seam.
“Probert” is stamped on the shaft of Bob’s Koho wood game-used stick. His number “24” is handwritten in black marker below his original tape job on the knob, which features well-worn red gauze tape wrapped over a ribbed tape job. The blade was retaped at some point.
