Black Hawks defenseman Bill White wore this Team Canada 1972 official team jacket during the legendary Canada-Russia series. A three-time member of the NHL Second All-Star Team, White had a goal and an assist while playing seven of the eight games during the Summit Series. “Team Equipe Canada” is embroidered on the left breast and “B. White” is embroidered in red thread stitching on the inner left front panel between the zipper and the satiny cream lining. Norman Beal Sports and Shain of Canada tagging remain in the back of the neck. There are several holes in the knit collar, hem and cuffs that do not diminish the display of this special international hockey keepsake, that is nicely preserved overall. There are a few very light stains and a bit of pinkish discoloration low on the right sleeve above the knit cuff.
