Magnificent Montreal Canadiens jacket that belonged to Maurice “Rocket” Richard is a gorgeous creation by the Roots company. The Rocket’s initials, “M.R”, are written in blue ballpoint on the NHL flag tag in the neck of this size XXL beauty which was originally obtained from the Rocket’s family. Two exquisite chenille CH crests are featured on this red, white and blue bomber jacket, one on the left breast and a huge patch on the back with “Canadiens” arched over it in individual sewn-on chenille letters. “Canadiens Montreal” chenille patch sits on the right breast. The white leather sleeves feature red and blue sewn-on leather stripes. The “Roots 2000” puck and stick patch on the left sleeve indicates that this was presented to Richard not long before his death in May of 2000. In gorgeous condition overall, this tri-color jacket shows that the Rocket was a Hab through and through to the very end.
