Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007

Richmond, Virginia was Marcel Paille’s last stop in an incredible 21- year senior and pro career which included over 1200 games! His Richmond Robins jersey from ’73-74 is a durene job with fantastic and extensive chain-stitching on tackle twill creating that killer big Robins crest. With a rolled-up “size 50” tag in the neck, the jersey includes a curious blank cloth nameplate that arches over the “1” on the back. Rather significant staining is present on the front and armpit areas while the left cuff is severely stretched, with a few holes on the lower (black) left sleeve. Otherwise awesome, thanks to the captivating crest, the jersey can be photo matched to six identical media photos of Paille which will be included. Lot also comes with a glossy team photo with facsimile autographs and including Paille, Al MacAdam, Jack McIlhargey and Larry Goodenough, along with a Robins puck with sponsor (Carousel) back. Terrific lot for AHL/Richmond keeners!
