Before he was a Black Hawk and before he won a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens, Denis Savard was a Leaf! A Verdun Pee Wee Leaf, actually, as evidenced by the Hall of Fame centre's minor hockey game-worn jersey. This fascinating and historic hockey relic was obtained directly from someone close to Savard while he tore his way through junior hockey and on through his NHL debut in Chicago. A very small piece of a flag tag remains in the neck of this minor hockey gamer, which measures out to roughly a size 36. No. "5" is sewn on the back in blue twill and the blue twill maple leaf crest features intricate white thread chain stitching. A couple of black marks on the left front attest to its game use and overall this HOF pedigree artifact remains in really nice condition with holes on the left breast and right rear tail that do not diminish its historic value. Comes with an LOA.
