Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Much harder to locate when compared to their baseball counterparts, with this easily explained by the measurable difference in attendance, this collection of 4 vintage NHL Ottawa Auditorium programs all feature the fabled original Ottawa Senators, and hail from the 1920s. First, we have a 1926-27 program for a Sens/Black Hawks tilt on Feb 5, 1927 (6” x 9”), with the center line-up missing, this is followed by a 1927-28 program from Feb 9, 1928 (6” X 9”), for a match between Ottawa and the Rangers, with the line-up intact. Next, we have a 1928-29 program for a March 16, 1929 match vs the Leafs (7” X 10”), with the line-up intact and an image of Frank Finnegan on the cover. Rounding out this great vintage program lot, we have an example from 1929-30 for a contest vs Toronto, on Feb 25, 1930 (6” X 9”), with the simple fold-over affair listing the game’s line-up.
The 1926-27 program has separations along the spine, with clear tape added. There is also rusting to the staple, along with toning, edge wear and a faint vertical crease. The 1927-28 and 1929-30 programs both show light to moderate handling wear with no issues, with each having a faint vertical crease visible. Lastly, the 1928-29 program has tears along the spine along with a small hole to the cover near the top, with general wear and toning.
