Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
The second major league hockey team to surface in The Big Apple after the New York Americans, the New York Rangers were successful early-on, winning a Stanley Cup championship in just their second season. The club is also noteworthy as the first in the NHL to travel by plane, flying to a match in Toronto in 1929. This lot contains a collection of autographed pucks totaling 15, with each signed by a past member of the New York Rangers including 7 HOFers. Each puck feature’s a Blueshirts logo and has been signed in either thin or thick silver paint pen (a pair are signed in gold), with light handling wear to the pucks themselves. Signers include deceased HOFers Howell, Bathgate and Gadsby (late life signature), as well as fellow Hall members Ratelle, Espo, Dionne and Lafleur, along with Sullivan, Prentice, Stoddard, Larouche, Deblois, Hamrlik and Henrik Lundqvist. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
