Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
An especially successful hockey program, the Michigan State Spartans are holders of three national titles, along with 11 CCHA Tournament titles and seven CCHA regular season championships. The Big Ten school can also include within it’s alumni Rod Brind'Amour, Duncan Keith and Craig Simpson. We have a Michigan State 1985-86 NCAA Division I Championship 10K gold salesman's sample ring. Size 10 with an approx. weight of 35 grams, a zirconia-embedded “S” set within a green stone is centered on the tableau, encompassed by both “Michigan State” and “National Champions”. The left shank depicts the campus with “NCAA-CCHA” above and “1986” below, with a raised generic player over the right shank with “Mason” (coach) above, along with the team’s record of “34-9-2” below. The inner band is stamped "LGB10K", along with an engraved sample number of “2SA-1001”. A number of surface scratches are present on the attractive ring, as well as small dings, grooves and nicks, especially along both the band and edges. Despite these minor flaws, the ring displays beautifully.
