The Frank Mahovlich Auction - October 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/18/2005
Wayne Gretzky made the move to the Big Apple for the start of the 1996 season. This rare blue and grey aluminum-shafted Easton Silver Tip has the "Gretzky" graphics on each side of the shaft with the Easton wood blade with double-sided black graphics below. The blade is stamped "Gretzky" along the upper front and the handle is covered with Wayne's trademark black foam "Gripper". The tape has been removed from the blade on this example and in its place sits a large bold sharpie "Wayne Gretzky" signature. Very light game use. Obtained directly from the former Rangers trainer who looked after the Great One's equipment.
