The Frank Mahovlich Auction - October 2005

Wow! If they slabbed and graded pucks, this would be a 10. It wasn't until the mid-1950's that the teams of the Original Six era began using game pucks with their team logos on the front. Few remain today in top collectible condition. This superb late-Fifties Tyer Rubber Company Detroit Red Wings game puck is the nicest we have ever seen. No need to upgrade after you add this example to your collection. Clean and straight with no chips or damage. Simply perfect! *startred* This puck is not a Converse puck, this is a 1950's puck and the Converse pucks were used during the 1960's so, this is a pre-Converse era puck. *endred*
