The Frank Mahovlich Auction - October 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/18/2005
Another hockey legend who left his mark on the game in many ways, Art Ross spent his life in hockey, first as an outstanding defenceman in a 14-year playing career, winning Stanley Cups with the Kenora Thistles (1907) and Montreal Wanderers (1908). Later as coach and manager of the Boston Bruins, Ross refined many aspects of the sport, improving the design of both the puck and the goal net used in the NHL. A pioneer and innovator "par excellence."
