The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Marvelous memento presented by the Edmonton Oilers following their first Stanley Cup victory to official team photographer Bob Mummery who was rinkside to document the birth of a hockey dynasty on film. The team logo of the Edmonton Oilers is etched in gold on the blue center stone encircled by the words "Edmonton Oilers, 83-84 Stanley Cup". One shank is sculpted with a figural player and has "Mummery" and "PH" engraved onto a flowing scroll. The opposite shank displays an intricate Olympic motif. Although this exemple differs from the rings awarded to the players, it is an official team ring from the 1983-84 championship season presented exclusively to essential staffers. Stamped inside by Jostens with their 10K marking. Size 11. In near mint condition.
