The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
These ever-popular plastic marbles were premiums issued one-a-box in Post cereal products during the 1968-69 season. Featuring photos of players from both the Maple Leafs and Canadiens, the marbles include the likes of Beliveau, Keon, Ullman, Bower, Cournoyer, Worsley and Vachon. They could be used to play a game of hockey on the plastic playing board that one could send away for. Rather difficult to find, the game board here is in near mint condition and will come in its original mailing box (postmarked Feb. 20, 1969) and with the original instructions. The 25 marbles are also near mint with just Backstrom, Ellis, Horton, Pelyk and Rousseau needed to complete the set.
