The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Gilbert Dionne's three seasons with the Canadiens in which he played on a Stanley Cup winner and averaged 20 goals, including 21 in just 39 games in his rookie year, were the highlight of his pro career. This white knit Habs jersey has a faded Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck near a size 54 fly tag. There's evidence of a patch removal at the right breast area, suggesting this is a Dionne rookie jersey. Excellent game use with 20 mostly small circular team repairs on the left sleeve alone and another 9 on the right, with 5 on the shoulders and back. Red board paint and nice pilling (cuffs, front, tail area) make for an outstanding Habs gamer. A LOA will be included.
