The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Terrific blue dureen St. Louis Blues jersey was donned by longtime NHLer Jimmy Roberts who won 5 Stanley Cups with Montreal before and after his 4 1/2-year stint with the Blues, who made him their first pick in the original 1967 expansion draft. The popular blue note crest on the front and Jim's number "6" on the back and sleeves are in tackle twill and sewn-on. Tagged by Rawlings in size 48 in the inner hem where Giesler-Horgen and washing instructions tags also appear. Nice game use with two quarter-size circular team repairs; one is just in front of the Blues crest, the other on the right sleeve, just to the left of the "6". Some nice red board paint can be spotted on the right sleeve and near the striping of the right seem. Stitching around the body (just above the top white stripe) and the length of both seems reveals the shirt was both shortened and taken in. Some wear to the numbers also to mention. A LOA will accompany this fantastic jersey which originally came from the Blues' equipment man.
