The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Legend Guy Lafleur proved to the hockey world in 1988 that he had indeed retired prematurely 3 1/2 years earlier as he made a successful comeback with the New York Rangers, scoring 18 goals during the 1988-89 season while thrilling fans on broadway. Rangers home white mesh jersey is tagged in the neck by Gerry Cosby and has CCM embroidered onto the tail. "Rangers" down the front, number "10" on the back and sleeves, and "Lafleur" in individual letters (no nameplate) on the back are all in red and blue tackle twill and sewn-on. Nice game use with over a dozen stick/slash marks scattered across the front and on the sleeves, along with interior pilling. The "Flower" autographed the front in blue sharpie and added "10". Will be accompanied with a letter of authenticity.
