The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Beautiful circa late 1940's gamer was wielded by Ted Lindsay as he and "Production Line" mates Gordie Howe and Syd Abel began to dominate NHL play and help the Red Wings to an eventual run of 7 straight regular season championships. "Lindsay" and "Lie No 5" are stamped on the front of the shaft, the sides of which read "Northland Professional" and "Lippman's Tool Shop, Detroit Michigan". Black tape forms the knob and more black covers the blade. Significant game use with black puck and slash marks plastering the shaft. Time cracks can be seen and felt at the tip of the blade but the stick remains solid. "Terrible Ted" left the game as it's all-time leading scorer among left wingers and as one of its fiercest competitors.
