The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Terrific vintage hockey sweater is a wool affair from the 1940's and from an unidentified team. The cream-colored jersey has double-knit yellow shoulders, yellow stripes and thick yellow cuffs. The number "12" is sewn on the front in red and yellow felt with no number on the back. Jersey shows nice wear which includes two team repairs; a quarter-size one near the top and just to the left of the "1" on the front and another slightly smaller circular one on the back. Two holes on the front, two on the back and another on each sleeve went unrepaired. Jersey has been preserved in excellent condition with the neckline and cuffs in great shape. Size is a man's small with a little shrinkage to mention. A classic from yesteryear.
