The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Terrific Bobby Orr Victoriaville gamer was used on the final weekend of the ‘73-74 season, a year in which Orr and Phil Esposito led the Bruins to a 52-win regular season title, with Bobby's 32 goals and 90 assists second only to Phil's 145 points. Received as a gift following a game between the Bruins and Canadiens at the Montreal Forum, the lady who was the recipient had Orr sign her program. The big flowing blue ink autograph was penned above a photo of a sprawled-out Gump Worsley. The program is dated Saturday, April 6, 1974. The stick is stamped "B Orr" on the front of the shaft where a "4" in red marker was added. All four sides of the shaft were planed, giving a rounded feel, especially under Bobby's long taped handle. Formidable piece of lumber shows nice game use, is solid and free of any cracks. A letter of authenticity will be included with this tempting Orr lot.
