The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Known more for his "policing" qualities along the St. Louis Blues blueline, defenceman Noel Picard scored but 12 goals in 335 NHL games. His first one was extra special since it came on his birthday, Christmas 1967 in Minnesota. The original Stars game puck with rubber crested logos and the patent number on the back was later incorporated into a small display. Puck is screwed from the bottom with some cracking and fading to the North Stars logo but with a perfect reverse logo. His last goal puck (October 28, 1972) was part of the NHL Registered Goal-Puck Series and mounted on a metal plaque with all details added below. An early St. Louis Blues game puck with rubber logos (no patent number) is within the St. Louis arch while the metal plate below is engraved "St. Louis Blues 1967-68". Fantastic mementos will be accompanied by Noel Picard's signed LOA.
