The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
After being claimed from Montreal in the expansion draft, Noel Picard proved to be a solid, mobile and experienced defenceman for the St. Louis Blues, helping them to the Western Division title in 1968-69. Racking up 88 points and surrendering the fewest goals in the league, the Blues captured the Clarence Campbell Bowl, outdistancing 2nd place Oakland by 19 points. Picard's personal miniature trophy has his name, the year and "St. Louis Blues" engraved on one side of the handled bowl with lid while "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl" and the year of the trophy's inception, "1968" appear on the other. The silver plated trophy stands just under 11" and is in excellent condition with some tarnish/wear to mention. Noel Picard will sign a LOA that will be included with this fabulous piece of St. Louis Blues history.
