Handsome gold ring was presented to defenceman Noel Picard for his efforts in helping the St. Louis Blues to the NHL's West Division championship in 1968-69. The Blues, stacked with veterans, took both the regular season and playoff titles, racking up 37 wins and 88 points to outdistance Oakland by a whopping 19 points. The Blues had St. Louis hockey fans on their feet plenty during the playoffs as well, sweeping both Philadelphia and Los Angeles before finally being swept in the Stanley Cup finals by Montreal. The face of this championship ring features a golden Blues logo against a blue enamel background surrounded by "West Division Champions". One shank has crossed hockey sticks and "19" below, while the applied "69" has gone missing over the years. A raised NHL logo appears on the other shank. Evidence of Noel Picard's big "mitts" is in this size 14 ring. The interior band is stamped "18K" while a scripted "Noel Picard" is engraved. Ring shows moderate wear but remains in excellent condition. From an exciting and proud time in St. Louis Blues franchise history, the special memento will be accompanied by a LOA signed by Noel Picard.
