The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Following his junior career with the Drummondville Rangers, Michel Parizeau spent three seasons with the Omaha Knights and contributed to the Central Hockey League championship in the spring of 1970. Parizeau's 7 playoff goals were second only to teammate Syl Apps Jr.'s 10. Other notable Omaha players were scoring champ Jack Egers, rookie-of-the-year "Moose" Dupont and goaltender Peter McDuffe. The champions received gold rings to commemorate their season. This one features a blue stone surrounded by "Central Hockey League 69-70 Champs". The sides include generic hockey players with "Omaha" above one and "Knights" above the other. Stamped "Jostens 10K" on the inside band where Parizeau's scripted initials also appear, the size 7 1/2 ring shows moderate wear and is slightly dented. Nevertheless appealing award will come with Michel Parizeau's signed LOA.
