The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
As coach of the Montreal Canadiens Oldtimers team for the famous outdoor game in Edmonton in November of 2003, Jacques Demers was part of a memorable, historic event and arrived home with a wonderful collection of goodies. A framed overhead shot of Commonwealth Stadium includes a photo below of the Oilers and Canadiens alumni shaking hands after their game. Among the 26 to sign a laminated poster were Gretzky, Lafleur, Robinson, Lapointe, Shutt, Carbonneau, McSorley and Ranford, while the signatures of Lafleur, Gretzky and Robinson are easily visible on an autographed CCM stick signed by 23. Apparel includes the lined CCM Canadiens hooded windbreaker that Demers wore during the game, a gorgeous wool and leather-sleeved Roots jacket with a big thick Heritage Classic crest on the back and a Habs crest on the front, and a Heritage Classic sweat jacket and pants ensemble. All the clothing is in size XL. The thought-provoking pieces were obtained directly from Jacques Demers and will come with his signed letter of authenticity. Awesome!
