The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Always able to "get the most" out of his players throughout his long coaching career, Jacques Demers' dream of taking his team "all the way" came true in the spring of 1993 as the Montreal Canadiens captured the Stanley Cup. To get to the finals, the Habs took care of the Islanders in 5 games and thus captured the Prince of Wales Trophy. Demers' personal miniature features four hockey sticks which rise up from the wooden base to hold a lidded cup. A metal plate on one side of the base bears the trophy's name and that of Demers while the opposite side's plate is engraved "NHL Champions Montreal Canadiens 1992-93". The trophy is in outstanding near mint condition. From the Canadiens' last championship season, this glorious memento will be accompanied by Jacques Demers' signed LOA.
