The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Terrific plaques commemorate two important milestones in Rick Vaive's career and feature the pucks he used to attain the plateaus. In his last of 7 full seasons with the Maple Leafs, Vaive reached the 30-goal mark for the 7th straight time while firing career goal #300. The InGlasCo Leafs game puck he did it with is mounted on a 10" x 13" wooden plaque with an enamel Leafs logo and an engraved plate that lists the February 25, 1987 date, Bob Froese of the Rangers as the victim and Todd Gill and Peter Ihnacak as the "helpers". Vaive is captured on the other plaque (11" x 17") as he joined the 400-goal club. The impressive award features the Sabres puck he put past Montreal's Brian Hayward on December 22, 1989, at the "Aud" in Buffalo. The two formidable mementos are in near mint condition and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Rick Vaive.
