The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
After representing his country as a junior, Rick Vaive was twice called upon to do the same after he turned pro, wearing Canada's red and white at the 1982 and 1985 World Hockey Championships in Finland and Czechoslovakia respectively. Team Canada members flew home with bronze medals in '82 and silver in '85. They feature two players battling on the front and the International Ice Hockey Federation's globe logo on the back, along with the familiar yellow and blue ribbons. Also included are Rick's participant's medallions from the same two tournaments. "Helsinki" and "Tampere" are listed on the '82 Finnish piece while Prague is identified on the '85 souvenir. The formidable foursome are in near mint condition and will come with a photo of Vaive at the '85 medal ceremonies and his signed LOA.
