This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Rick Vaive's potent slapshot and his determination in front of the opposition's net led to his third consecutive 50-goal season in 1983-84 and a career high 93 points. Although the Maple Leafs failed to make the playoffs, Vaive's efforts were acknowledged at season's end as he was awarded the Molson Cup as the Leaf having earned the most points in 3-star selections throughout the year. The impressive trophy features a significant silver plated bowl atop a two-tiered wooden base which measures approximately 10" square at the bottom. The bowl is engraved "Molson Cup" while engraving on the metal plaque below reads "Toronto Maple Leafs - Winner - Rick Vaive - 1983-84". Preserved in beautiful near mint condition and representing a season of hard work and excellence, the memento will be accompanied by Rick Vaive's signed LOA.
