Following a trade from Vancouver in 1980, Rick Vaive blossomed into a potent scorer with Toronto, becoming the first Leaf to ever hit the 50-goal mark (in ‘81-82) and then repeating the feat the following two seasons. This blue and white mostly mesh jersey from early in Rick's tenure with Toronto has a faded SK company tag and a washing instructions tag in the neck while "Sandow SK" is screened onto the outer rear hem. Everything is sewn-on including "Vaive" across the mesh nameplate. Moderate game wear includes a dozen small marks/burns on the front and sleeves with a 1-inch team repair in the white of the left sleeve. There are remnants of red board paint and a small hole on the blue knit back hem, to the right of the Sandow screening. Some stitching just above that has been repaired where the blue pulled away from the white mesh. Fight strap is intact. Obtained from a source other than Rick Vaive, this appealing Leafs gamer will be accompanied by a LOA
