The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
One of the classiest signers of all-time, Jean Beliveau has autographed some 65 pieces in this lot. Leading the way is the original artwork used for the Steinberg glass promotion of 1965. Mounted on foam board, the pastel creation has become slightly smudged but represents a unique piece. A glossy Beliveau display, a big photo also signed by Johnny Bower and "an end of an era" poster picturing old arenas and signed by Worsley, Cheevers, Bower, Lindsay and Pilote are other highlights, as is a laminated skate-a-thon photo also signed by Howe, Dryden, Mahovlich and Henderson. Hockey pucks total 13 and include a pair from the Molson Center's opening game, one also signed by Maurice Richard and a limited replica of Beliveau's first NHL goal puck given at a 2003 dinner. There are 15 auto'd hockey cards and a 1996 Ottawa Senators opening night pass. T-shirts, ball caps, 4 cowboy hats, calendars, a Beliveau collectors plate and a display from the Quebec Colisée's 50th anniversary celebration also signed by Lafleur, Goulet, Stastny and Tardif are also included. Jean Beliveau's signed LOA will accompany this sensational group.
