The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Interesting lot features a Kodak M6 Instamatic Movie Camera which members of the 1966 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens received from the team and the NHL. A Kodak advertisement reveals that the gifts were handed out on the first day of training camp prior to the ‘66-67 season. Canadiens team president, David Molson, is pictured presenting this camera to Jean Beliveau in the Habs' dressing room. The original David Bier color snapshot used for the ad is included in the lot and Beliveau has signed it in silver ink. "J. Beliveau" in gold lettering is engraved into the camera's case and it appears as though the camera was never used; there are two Super 8 color movie films also included. The foam lining of the case has somewhat disintegrated, otherwise everything is in like-new condition. Cool early cam-corder will be accompanied by Jean Beliveau's signed LOA.
