The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
The 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens made it 3 Stanley Cup wins in 4 years and are pictured here in a David Bier creation that was only offered to team members. Included are Gump Worsley and Rogie Vachon who combined to win the Vezina trophy and of course captain Jean Beliveau whose 31 goals and 68 regular season points led the team. In the playoffs, Beliveau and Jacques Lemaire scored a team-high 7 goals each as Montreal swept Boston, took Chicago in 5 games before sweeping St. Louis in the finals. Toe Blake is pictured here for the last time as coach after winning a record 8th Cup. The Bier Studios stamp is on the back and the picture is in nice shape with a just few small light, barely detectable creases. Jean Beliveau's signed LOA will be included with this superb piece.
