The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Amazing display features one of the skates that the great Jean Beliveau laced up to defend with honor the tradition of Montreal's red-white-and-blue. From towards the end of his career when he was performing like a man 10 years younger than him, the Tacks skate (left foot) shows actual game use beneath the bronze, with slices in the toe. Jean's famous number "4" can be detected on the boot, near the outer heel. The skate stands thanks to a wooden base with a plaque that lists Beliveau's name, NHL career years (1953-1971) and his lofty Hall of Fame numbers of 507 goals and 712 assists. What a piece to display! It will come with a signed LOA by Mr. Beliveau himself.
