The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Canada's version deservedly gave Jean Beliveau his spot in recent years. Above his hockey-playing excellence, respect for the formidable man even led to a 1994 offer to become Canada's Governor-General, the most prestigious appointment in the country. This heavy trophy features a funky golden maple leaf upon a 2 1/2" high marble base that meaures 5" x 3". Inscribed on one side of the base is "Canada's Walk of Fame - 2001 - Jean Beliveau" while the opposite side reads in French "Allée Des Celebrités Canadiennes - 2001 - Jean Beliveau". In perfect condition, the award celebrating one of the greatest Canadians will be accompanied by Jean Beliveau's signed LOA and two photos from the unveiling ceremony.
